Yesterday morning I purchased GTS-39, Stripbus and the Roundtone/Presence bundle.

I followed the instructions regarding unzipping/renaming files etc but only
Presence is showing in my plug-in list (as a 32bit plug).

The others wont show up at all.

Anyone else has similar problems?
I'm using Windows 7 64bit using Cubase 6 64Bit.

I fired off a mail to support about 7 hours ago but still no response, dying to try these out.

I didn't have any trouble, once I figured out the rather Da Vinci Code-ish install instructions (they're simple, but not intuitive).

Don't unzip, just change the .zip file names to pluginname.dll and drag and drop into your VST folder. HOWEVER in Windows 7 you WILL have problems if you have file extensions hidden by default in your folder view (this hung me up for a good 15 minutes my first time around

).

Go into the Control Panel, make sure your view is set to small icons, click on Folder Options, click on View tab, scroll down the list of checkboxes until you see "Hide extensions for known file types" and uncheck that.

Now you can actually change the filename to plugin.dll instead of plugin.dll.zip which is what you did if you had the hide file extensions button checked.

I've also tested Satson. It's very good. The filters are something special!
In the end i've choosen Stripbus. It has more options.

I bought Satson first, then Stripbus. Satson is a LOT more subtle. You can throw it on all tracks, and just forget it (except for using its high pass and low pass filters -- which are excellent -- to sculpt the track a bit). I've found Stripbus to be more versatile, but it's also a little more agressive. To my ears, Satson sounds sweeter, Stripbus sounds warmer, if that makes sense. Both are good to have in my opinion (and Stripbus even throws in a bus compressor!).

Will be getting used to both of them over the next few weeks. Never used these kinds of plugs before.
Would you believe it was a thread about Slate's RC Tube that got me onto them?

I have RC-Tube also. Satson is the only one i don't have (yet), but i liked it very much when i was able to test it. Really subtle and sweet! It really glue all tracks.

I was 90% sold on RC-Tube before Quinto announced his console updates to Stripbus. Looks like I'll be sticking with Stripbus from now on! Why pay $50 for 1/5 of a product when you can spend $30 for one that grows over time for free?

You're right. But having another one to choose (RC-Tube) can be handy sometimes. And it's worth just for the iLok2. Choose your weapon!

This is true. It is worth it for the iLok2. I'm just not sure I'm ready to go full dongle.
