Quite excited about this one. Only a couple of preview vids on YouTube so far. not seen much other info on this one but it looks really cool;

Based on what I can see ... and hear, using it seems as painful as listening to that demoDogboy73 wrote: http://www.palmsounds.net/2011/11/phaed ... -look.html

Downloaded and taken for a testdrive! Introductory price equals 5 of the cheapest IOS apps, found no information on full price or how long the offer will last...
Not quite analog-ish enough for my taste in the manner notes are entered.
Love that swipe a row of velocity or CC values or gate times system though, that's the way to do step-sequencing.
It didn't seem to work with iMS-20, worked flawlessly with NLog Pro, no luck with Sunrizer. I had hoped for Wi-Fi with PC-s, but no. That's with Macs only so far. Midi Touch works beautifully with DSMIDIWiFi without any hassle, why can't Phaedra?
Will check later if FreEWI can assist in making some more connections, can't make myself pay almost double the price of the app for Midi Bridge (which would probably involve extra latency) when these things may get sorted out soon. ...

That demo was truly painful to listen to. I found myself skipping through it to get to the meat of it all. No meat. All vegetarian.

I downloaded it yesterday. Fun to work with though I can think of some features that could be added..
Got it to work with Sunrizer...rember to turn on background audio. Was not able to get it to work with Addictive or Crystal....might have something to do with start-up order...
Sure will be nice when all of these synth makers get the virtual audio/midi working.

For grins I hooked Pkaedre into Thumb Jam and payed along with the the sequences. That was fun! Another instane I had phaedre sequencing on Sunrizer and N-log and did some soloing over top with Animoog.
I wanted to use Alchemy Mobile instead of one of the other synths but it is a resource user, as Camel mentioned. Still, got it tto work though I wish I could have disabled the virtual midi while leaving bg audio on....or at selected a specific midi channel on it.
Having a lot of fun though!

I think I'm going to get this because it looks like fun and it's cheap.
As for the demo music, I like it! The app was obviously named after the Tangerine Dream album, and that's the kind of music it's designed to do.

Got this as soon as I saw it was available. Not had a chance to try it with any other Apps or hardware/software yet. But the interface looks nice & I think this will be a very capable analogue style step sequencer for control of other stuff. All good

I'm probably too old to appreciate.~Pd~ wrote:..

I've managed to get it hooked up to AniMoog and Molten, but if I try and run both at the same time my iPad 1 melts. I suspect Phaedra might have quite a large memory footprint as you can (allegedly) run 3 apps from Genome on an iPad 1 without too much strife.
I'd love to run it into SampleTank, might tip the scale on my getting MidiBridge which I assume is needed (I can't get them to play nicely on their own).
Phaedra with AniMoog is great though...worth the price alone!

I was looking at purchasing StepPolyArp, but then Phaedra comes along. Can someone tell me what the difference in the two are?
I have Genome right now, although I'm not very satisfied with the interface. It has a lot of potential. Just a bit frustrating to work with.

Genome is cool but it is kind of fiddly to use. Great App though. Phaedra is more like a traditional monophonic analogue step sequencer. StepPolyArp is like an advanced arpeggiator/step sequencer. I really like StepPolyArp as well. Good demo here using it to control an Oberheim;sonicflux wrote:I was looking at purchasing StepPolyArp, but then Phaedra comes along. Great video, thanks. Does it have multiple buses like Phaedra, and therefore able to send signals to multiple apps?
Also, regarding Genome (as everyone seems to have it), does it record 'performances' from an attached MIDI keyboard? I assume so from the description, but all videos seem to show people writing events using on screen tools.
Thanks.

My noise is here.
