Some people have used the Lexicon Omega for audio and midi on ipad/ipad2 , i looked at the pdf manual and the spdif digital 2 track input can be switched to usb audio port 1/2 , has anyone tested spdif input and output with the Omega. Thanks.

I recently purchased a Lexicon Omega for use with my iPad 2. I have successfully gotten the spdif out to work on the Omega. It appears to send whatever signal is coming out of the iPad 2 to the spdif out jack. In my case I had it hooked to an older Sony DAT recorder. I have not been able to mix a signal coming from an input (like a microphone) with the signal coming out of the iPad on the spdif output. However, if the particular iPad app is able to monitor the mic input it will also appear in the spdif out signal. I was unsuccessful at getting the spdif input on the Omega to work but I have only tried the signal coming from my old DAT recorder. I hope to do more testing soon.
