Hi Group,
I am using Cantabile Pro with Win XP.Today as I was fixing my other mistakes something new came up.I have a subsession which is just mdaPiano. If it is the startup sub session (that is the one selected when Cantabile is closed)then it runs fine. After I select any other subsession however it has no output and is silent when I reselect it.
It doesn't matter HOW I select another subsession (either by drop down list or from an external device). When I go back to my mdaPiano subsession it refuses to play. At this point (since I have mdaPiano selected) if I close Cantabile and then reopen it the subsession plays fine but only until I change subsessions.
I was hoping this behavior might be indicative of what is causing this problem. I have been using this plugin for awhile and the problem only happened today.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
LooseBruce

Hi Group,
Turns out this appears to be a mdaPiano challenge. It seems that mdaPiano does not like to be bypassed OR suspended. I had to change ALL of my other subsessions which either bypassed and/or suspended mdaPiano so that they would MUTE mdaPiano. Now it works fine.

Just want to note that there is a technical difference between bypass and suspend.
Bypass just cuts off the audio while the plugin still keeps on running.
Suspend turns the plugin off so to say - it does nto get any cpu any more. It's more likely that plugins do not like suspend...
It would be interesting to hear if your finding changes either way muting your plugin.
