i was going for a analog type of sequencer, and bought the StepPolyArp, and I am amazed so far!J.C wrote:These are two very different App, I use both. One is an Arpeggiator and the other is a midi sequencer, Wich one do you need?
Genome also looks awesome, but i would rather sequence my midi tracks from Logic. Cheers!

If you're looking for an analog style sequencer, check out Phaedra as well, that's probably the most analog-ish of them all.Daniel_Che wrote:i was going for a analog type of sequencer, and bought the StepPolyArp, and I am amazed so far!J.C wrote:These are two very different App, I use both. I have all 3 but my pref goes to StepPolyArp, it's an instrument on it's own, lot of fun.
In case the dev is watching I would like that long notes (actually most of them) get re-trigged on note change.
Also don't know if it's a bug but when I deselect the arp and set it again it won't run with external sync, I have to trigger a clock start msg again, which is a bit annoying.
Also a mono bass mode would be nice, just using the lowest key as input trigger.
Now I wouldn't mind 2-3 more modules with separate midi/channel output options. But for me he could just create two extra apps, with different colors and I would buy them again, if they run well all together on the same iPad.
Genome is nice too, didn't have time to use it much, but it's a good replacement to a daw sequencer, allows recording and works in the background as well. I had actually no problem using the two apps at the same time
And my gear likes them too, they're all getting nice warm

StepPolyArp is the only one I get to stay in sync using network midi. I wish I could get my money back for Phaedra as it's useless to me. Impossible to stay in sync whatsoever. Tried every possible option, different hosts, etc. Nothing. Just horrible.

Agree about Phaedra terrible ext sync and no sign of an update. Genome and StepPolyArp both very good using USB ext midi clock.philliptwenty wrote:StepPolyArp is the only one I get to stay in sync using network midi. It says that StepPolyArp is compensating for wifi latency, but what about core midi ?
I'm asking as in my setup where my MIDI goes back and forth between my gear, laptop and iPad I get very low midi latency, almost to good to be true.
