This was a fine and relaxing piece to listen to. I'm just about to complete a new mix myself, so this was a nice way to prepare for the task ahead.

Now when are you going to complete that album?

Wow, very soothing piece, full of the solemn and thoughtful end of the Christmas spirit spectrum. I had to help my daughter with the German words to this song a couple of weeks ago. She only speaks French, so German is very different sounding to her.

as soon as possible. it's just two or maybe three more songs, but those still need a lot of work and the duties that kept me from getting a lot music done lately are still present.

do you often sing "stille nacht" in german in canada? i wouldn't have guessed that.

Well, my parents always encouraged the use of other languages and accents. It was not unusual to slip a few German words into a sentence, follow it up with the heaviest Scottish Brogue you could muster, then finish off in a thick New York accent. My father would often greet us in Japanese or Korean and he sang Stille Nacht to us many times. We learned some Gaelic from my mother's side and would try our best to imitate her father's Welsh accent. I love this plasticity in language and in thought and try to encourage it in my daughter.

and it's a good tradition to keep up.

this was one of those songs, where i had to throw a lot of the stuff i recorded out again to get where i wanted in the first place.
