RMV & recording pad trigger events

Is it possible to record use of the pad trigger buttons in the host sequencer (in this case, Sonar X1)? I don't always want to drag out my percussion controller (drumkat) just to get a few percussion hits in a MIDI track.

The trigger pad is for pre-listening, checking, its in the GUI thread, thus its not very exact in timing. To trigger the pads, send a Note On event from your host, which might be recorded from external controllers (Trigger Finger, MPD, whatever).
