I don't know, if you are loosing midi and audio i/o it kind of defeats the purpose of the iPad imo.
Now if it's compatible with the mpcs it could be interesting for people wanting to work outside the studio.
Anyway, just got a tempest and it's the first time in my life that I'm really having a big fun with one of these damm 'beat box'.

Actually some device that would let me put 2 iPads together that can send/receive their audio and midi + an external midi + audio port + some trick that let's me charge both at the same time would be really cool.

Looks like a case for the iPad. You fit the iPad inside and then there is a plug in on the side. I am sure it fits into the data port. Kinda like a case stand with built in mpc.

Well, it's not too bad, backlit pads, core midi, charges both batteries at the same time (won't give an extra battery to the iPad though), but one thing I like about the iPad is it's small size, this makes it a little bulky, would have been nice to be able to fold the thing totally, when not using the mpc, like my belkin case.
