developer forum rights?

So am I right in surmising that developers are now explicitly allowed to use their private forum privileges to target individuals within those forums, whilst suppressing any attempt at dissent?

Eh? Devs can moderate their forums however they wish as long as they stay within the KVR rules. That's always been the way. What's happened?

I'm referring to this post:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 10#4775010
which underlines a developer's intent to continue behaviour I believe he had explicitly been warned against by a KVR moderator, specifically including an incident last October, ie using his forum to promulgate private vendettas against KVR members, and censoring any dissent with that by any other KVR members.
The legacy of that behaviour, with the moderator's warnings now deleted, still exist at
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=330257
and
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=330351
I know for a fact that the developer emailed his entire customer base and asked them to put pressure on you, and Muse Research, to prevent that same KVR moderator from 'interfering' and to allow him to continue to single out individuals for attack without fear of any dissenting response or comment.
I'd like to know explicitly whether it is now the case that a KVR developer forum can be used to repeatedly make accusations against individuals without any means of responding to those accusations in context:

Basically, I'd like to know how much protection the developers now get above and beyond the stuff that we regular punters would get our knuckles rapped for.

Well, thanks for the confirmation. I guess using KVR to have a go at someone who's not even a member is okay for devs too.

Im not 'focussing on him', he's 'focussed' on me. And clearly feels he can do so with impunity from the safety of his developer forum.stanlea wrote:Personal hate takes its food everywhere. KVR is full of opinions, stop focusing on him and you'll be happy.
So, erm, f**k that.

Making accusations against someone who's said nothing to or about you in months is not the approach of someone who wants left in peace.stanlea wrote:Nope, he wants you to leave him in peace, not the same.

I did enjoy the singular logic of this statement (at first it seems to be an observation then I realised it's an order):
Plus all the infamy, infamy, they've all got it info'me stuff that accompanies it.no one is going to have their opinion changed by further discussion of the topic.
