909 KING OF THE KICKS is a massive collection of Roland TR-909 kicks: it features 20 kits and a total of 584 samples.

Each kit was recorded through one specific equipment chain, and contains up to 36 samples with various settings for the tune, level, attack and decay knobs.

A lot of studio gear (from esoteric high-end gear down to vintage fx pedals) was used, with the goal to stay true to the original punch and character of the analog drum machine while providing users with solid, useful and versatile kick sets.

The 20 kits are grouped in three folders:

kits A - NATURAL:
6 kits with subtle, efficient processing (peak-limiting, transistor reamping, Lowpass filter…)

kits B - UNDER CONTROL:
more agressive EQ, various amounts of compression and/or harmonic saturation for controlled, versatile kicks. 6 kits.

kits C - FLAVOURS:
8 kits featuring different flavours of saturation and overdrive, from subtle to creamy to over the top.

20 kits, 584 samples (24bit, 48khz mono WAV)
Total size unzipped: 52MB

INTRODUCTORY PRICE (february 2012 only): 6 euros ($7.90 USD)

Nice!

You can hear a demo on the site:
http://loopsdelacreme.bandcamp.com/albu ... -the-kicks

The demo features about 80 kicks in the context of a afrohouse track. For the demo, all the kicks were left raw, unprocessed, directly imported from 909 KING OF THE KICKS

In the first part of the demo track, you can hear a different kit every two bars: the versatility of the samples in each kit is great for building complex, organic bass drum patterns.

The second part features various single kick samples driving a '4 on the floor' beat. The library has plenty of such 'instant gratification' kicks, that are perfectly processed and will just work without further tweaking. :D

Post

A few days left to get the kicks at the introductory price. Starting march 1st, price will be 9 Euros.

last reminder about the february introductory price

MMh, you got me interested. Not that there's a lack of 909 samples :)
But you seem to be taking a somewhat fresh approach to a topic many believe has become rather stale. For that price, i'd even be willing to be proven wrong!

Edit: For 6 (!) Euros - wtf is not to like?
Bagged this baddy. Thanks for all the effort you have gone to - it's a downright
steal. I almost feel bad about it
