FLStudio: hide/remove democontent?

I own FLstudio Producer Edition. My main DAW is Cubase 6, but once in a while I like to fiddle with FLstudio. What really annoys me about it is that a lot of the synths included are demo-versions. I know I can buy those or upgrade FLstudio, but I don't want to. I just want to use and see the synths/effects that I did pay for, and everything else to be gone. I can't see if they are demos until I open them and that kind of kills the flow... Don't bother me with the demos :D

Is it possible to remove the demo content or have FLstudio hide it? Or better: don't install it all?

Thanks!

you can move any offending .dll out of the folders that FLS scans for plug-ins...
put them in a temp folder , in case you want to reinstate them at a later date ...
( you may wish to keep track of what goes where ) ...
after you have finished your housekeeping , refresh the plug-in list , w/ a fast scan ...

I've tried that, but it doesn't work. When I move a plugin from the folder, it still appears in flstudio. When I try to open it, it says it's unavailable (obviously... ). I don't know how to force a complete plugin rescan, but I also wonder if it would help. Maybe these plugins are always in flstudio 's list?

Nobody else is bothered by this? A lot of demo plugins in a paid product? Would be nice if they were optional...

You can remove the "F" tick in the plugin scanner or use the browser/plugin picker (for me those are faster than the rightclick menus and you can dragndrop) and costumize for yourself wich plugins they are showing.

To rescan, click on Refresh in the long plugin list (Channels -> Add -> More).

If you mean you want to delete the entries in the browser, right-click, open the windows shell and delete the offending files.

I recommend using the , which I find very useful for these tasks.

Yep, plugin picker also works with mousewheel click or mouse 5 (thumb-bottun) on the FL backround :). Or just save .fst presets in some folder and add that to the browser.

Thanks for all the tips!

That video was very clarifying (is that a word? ;-)

Still think the installation should be optional, but I now know how to handle the database and workaround it. As well as how to enter my own vsts in it.

Thanks a lot! 8)
