NI B4-II in Cantabile

I guess not just me but some out there may still have NI B4-II.

I've had some trouble after loading a session containing B4-II with no sound.

The reason seems to be that B4-II initializes internally with volume 0... After sending a CC #7 controller value > 0 B4-II works fine.

I remember a similar question some time ago but don't the soulution from this thread. If there is some more about this - please add it here. Thanks!

Hi TiUser,

2 quick ideas:

- in my implementation of B4II the VSTi always starts with a sound (in my case "Soul Explosion"). Problably you changed something in the setup or the like? Could it help to always call up a sound when calling up B4?

- You could send a trigger event on channel 7 to make sure B4 always has a defined starting situation.

good luck, humphrey

Humphrey, thanks for your suggestions.

I haven't decided how to resove the issue - it's actually not too urgent. I've also considered trying a trigger but that's just curing the effect without understanding the reason behind.

I admit I'm frequently loading the same session into Catabile Lite and then into Cantabile Performer and vice versa for test purposes... I feed this session via an external midi application. Probably that's the issue - not sure.

Lately I've another issue with (free) Luxonix LFX-1310 multi effects vst. It does not load the preset I've set up... I've tried several strategies but none seems to work.

...uuups?

Guess I'm doing too much external stuff - LOL :-o
