Song for Doru

This song is dedicated to Doru Malaia. Its an oldie i keep looking at from time to time. First version was made and presented to Doru Malaia Nov 2006, 2 months before he died from cancer.

The early version was made in Reason using Subtractor to produce wavetable style playing triggered by velocity. Today i imported those waveforms into Zebra and gave it a try. The waveforms are not perfect to the original but they'll do for now. Anyways, i'll never finish this track

Everything playing is Zebra except for True Piano at some points.

What a sweet and wonderfully human gesture. Gesture and symbols matter, because it is often all we have.

On a personal note: I wrote and recorded a song back in the 90s. My dear friend Joe Orlowski played drums on it. While I was fleshing it out and doing overdubs, Joe was killed (hit by a car) as he stopped to help someone by the side of the road. To this day, I've not been able to finish the song. I can't bring myself to do the vocals, so it stands as an instrumental.
