Dear KVR Members,

We are happy to announce the release of Blue Cat's Freeware Pack II, a complete redesign of our free audio plug-ins for Mac and PC.

This release mainly brings new plug-ins to the bundle (dual channel EQ, stereo phaser), as well as completely redesigned versions of the existing plug-ins: new user interfaces, new presets management system, new MIDI and automation mapping capabilities, many new presets, Windows AAX support, and much more (details below).

Image
The plug-ins are available for download for free as a single bundle or separately on www.bluecataudio.com, in VST, RTAS, AAX, Audio Unit and DirectX formats (32 and 64-bit).

Mucho gracias, muchacho! El taco es verde porque un pequito!

I want to check out the chorus if it's still in there, I used to use the gain suite all the time.

Must be busy, I'm getting extremely slow download - like hours left type slow.

Thanks a lot for these, great plugins. Slowest download I've seen since 28k dial-up days, but not complaining.

This is a very generous freebie and the gain plug in is very useful to me. The flanger sounds great, really great.

I am disappointed however as i never used the mod plugins before cause of lack of tempo sync..

I am not trying to kick a gift horse in the mouth, i do appreciate these alot, i just wish the flanger and phaser had lfo sync lock up to about 8 bars and down to about 1/64 including of course double and triplet along the way.

The sound of the flanger is quite organic.

The phaser is missing a frequency control but otherwise is very nice too and smooth.

Still a great set of freebies but if you consider adding sync i'll definitely donate. I guess i was really hoping for it when i read a total redesign

Awesome. Always liked the stereo chorus and flanger. Rich and very alive (and hey, freeee!)

Thanks!

Thank you all for the feedback. The downloads have indeed become quite slow due to the huge number of simultaneous connections. It should hopefully get back to a normal state soon... We are sorry for the inconvenience!

@sinkmusic: yes, all our other plug-ins should benefit from similar enhancements in the (near) future... Blue Cat's Dynamics is definitely on the list!

@ttoz: tempo sync is not currently in our plans, but we'll try to think about it!
