Yamaha CS : CV mix

Hi all
I'd need to clarify a doubt
Please look at the picture here below



My doubt is concerning the following: the VCAs do output a current while the lines including from "initial pitchbend" to "SubOsc Function" do output a tension; but even then the two seem to mix themselves at the "N" node; I'm scratching my head because I cannot understand how can it be.

Also can anybody tell me what's the role of the 0.01uF at the VCA's output?
