Patch based setup

I'm planning on setting up a patchbased sound rig, and I'm unsure if Cantabile has all the features I need to get it done. I would like to have a setup with 4 fixed synths:

- Kontakt 4
- SampleTank 2
- NI B4 II
- Zebra 2

In addition I'm setting up a reverb, a delay and a chorus for all instruments to share. I want to program a number of patches for each of the instruments and effect units. So for each song I just pick which patch each instrument and effect is to use. So if two songs share the same patch, I would like changes to this patch to appear in both songs whenever I modify it. So basically, a patch must be "globaly shared".

I'm thinking that the subscene setup would do this. But the first problem is setting up Kontakt for this. I would like to avoid loading all needed samples at once. I'm thinking that if all instruments and effects had their patches loaded as a fxb bank, then I was able to specify in the subscene which patch each instument should use in each subscene. But some of my instruments show up with only one patch, and I'm not able to add another patch (posted a separate thread about that).

Any ideas if this is a doable setup?

There is a fature calles "load entire bank" for plugins not supporting the standard vst banks.

But with sample based instruments there can be problems if you don't want to load all samples. Probably it helps to use old style program changes. Triggers can help technically but I admit it's not convenient to set up... maybe Cantabile 3.x will bring us more convenient setup...
