I recently bought an Akai SynthStation 25 to use with my iPod Touch 4G. Sometimes it will work great as I am able to play on the keyboard on apps like NanoStudio but most of the time the keys on the keyboard will not work and on the MIDI setting of NanoStudio it tells me that there is no MIDI connected. When I do get it working it tells me on the MIDI settings that the Akai SynthStation is connected and the keyboard works great and I can access the Drum and Synth pads on the keyboard. For some strange reason when i try to edit some sounds the MIDI disconnects and it doesn't work. Sometimes when I blow into the iPod Touch 4G USB?Docking socket and then reconnect to the SythStation it works but only for a few minutes. I am finding this frustrating.

UPDATE: I think the fault is with my iPod Touch 4G or the iOS version I am using because I tried my old iPod Touch 2G and it works like a champ. I only get the problems of it working then not working when using my new iPod Touch 4G

Please advise

Okay I restored my new iPod Touch 4G and updated to iOS 5.1 and still it wouldn't work. I then managed to get it working again for just a few minutes then all of a sudden a pop up window appears with "This Accessory Is Not Supported by iPod Touch" then it stops working. This is strange considering my old iPod Touch 2G works great with SS25. I wonder what is wrong with my new iPod TOuch 4G. Hmm. : :(
