Sounds like a high-pass filter sweep to me on one of the tracks (possibly a white noise track), but I may be listening to the wrong thing.

There's a rather curious but amusing man doing Youtube video explanations about filter sweeps here:

- Approaching the break the sound is being filtered through a 'bell curve' eq preset. (this bell shaped setting makes it sound like a transistor radio or telephone.)
- The last chord before the break is sent through a tempo delay which is set to deteriorate as it repeats.(listening again it seems he is just doing a 'high-pass sweep' along the 6 last repeating chords.)
- The drum track starts at beat #1 (the drum track is EQ'd rather thin to begin with, and continues that way at the break and after.)
- The chord track starts at beat #2 (what he did was to mute the first chord in the 4/4 beat pattern.)

Cool effect he got.

I agree with Doug and me...but the 'effect' is more then just a vst plug-in effect in my mind...it's the whole break that is the effect. Anybody can do a hi-pass sweep...it as common as rain.
