Hi guys, i recently moved to NI Akoustic Piano from Steinberg The Grand, because i like the sound better. But on the Stainberg, i could press (with the mouse) on a sustain pedal and have sustained notes, i don't have that in Akoustic Piano.
I was wandering if there's a sustain pedal plugin? I also read somewhere that i can do something with midi controller 64 to achieve this, but i don't understand what controller 64 is, and how to do this.
I have a CME m-key keyboard, using Reaper for a DAW.
Thank you!
MIDI sustain pedal plugin? or other non hardware solution?

If you read section 6 of the manual for the CME m-key it tells you how to assign either the joystick, slider, the pedals and data button to a midi controller number.moonlander wrote:I also read somewhere that i can do something with midi controller 64 to achieve this, but i don't understand what controller 64 is, and how to do this.

There is no need for a plugin. Damper pedal/sustain is assigned to MIDI CC64 like you said. 0 = pedal up. 127 = pedal down. The values in between can be used for partial pedaling effect when it is supported. If you read the documentation for your keyboard and DAW you should be able to either set a control on the keyboard to CC64 or set up automation for CC64/damper/sustain in the DAW. Either one should be very easy to do, but I don't have those products. Or just get a foot switch. If you're shelling out money for software pianos it is silly not to have an actual pedal.

In fact i already read the manual, but when you pointed me to the right section i understood that this was what i'm looking for.
