Hello.
I recently downloaded a vst called "shiver" that you can find here http://d.hatena.ne.jp/VSTLINK/20080620/1213912237

It has a small problem, though, and I wanted to know if anyone could help me. When I open a vst in fl studio, it would normally let me play notes by pressing key's on my keyboard (the one built into my laptop). For some reason, when I open Shiver, I'm only able to work on it, then once i click outside of the actual shiver interface I can play notes again. Not sure if that's clear enough... But hopefully one of you will understand and help me out.
Thanks in advance.

I downloaded it, I don't see anything that would not allow qwerty MIDI input, Synthmaker has MIDI in stuff, but he didn't use that.

I think you're saying you can't input Qwerty MIDI when the GUI is open. I've never used FL Studio, only Reaper.

Interesting FM/PM, although it feels like an undeveloped idea.

In FL go to wrapper options and in "Visual" set "Don't allow keyboard focus" which isn't really visual at all, but will fix the issue anyway.

Wow, thanks a lot man! I saw that phase modulation thing, something that I hadn't seen before, so i didn't want to get another synth. You saved my butt lol.

I am running FLStudio 8 and am having the same problem, especially with Uhe synths. I've searched all over but can not find anywhere to access the wrapper options. I didn't even find anything about wrapper options when searching through the help files.

It's been a while, but if my memory serves me right, the new-style wrapper options came with FL9 (ie there's a second button on the title-bar). I honestly can't remember how things worked in FL8. I do remember being annoyed about some plugins as well, so maybe it wasn't an option back then.

I think you are correct about the option not being available in FL8. It's a real PITA trying to tweek settings when you constantly have to click on and off the vst wrapper gui to hear what changes you made. At least, now I know why it happens.

Thanks for responding!!

I totally agree. I have a synth for MIDI control right next to me (just turn 90 degrees left basically) and I still find it much easier to tweak sounds by just using the regular QWERTY, until I'm more or less there (someone should invent MIDI controllers with USB-HID compatible CTRL/ALT/SHIFT keys).
