A free update for Audiffex AmpLion has been released.
Here is what I have found new so far:
- GUI improved (effect dragging, background color, smoother fonts etc.)
- Audio Unit support - now you can use ampLion in Logic, GarageBand, Digital Performer and other AU compatible workstations.
- x64 native Windows VST plugin. (upto 18% Cpu usage reduced)
- Oversampling has been improved
- Plug-in parameters structure changed (Tonal adjustment on amps. No more boomy bass on amps while bass knob at max, more defined amps)
- Default linear knob control for plugin
- Pressing CTRL will switch the knob to default position
- Signal flow extended - flexible assignment of effects
- Supports import of external impulse responses
- Learn function for output gain is improved and faster.
- 4 new effects and stomp-boxes added :
I) DCompressor MXR Dyna comp
II) Small Phaser Electro-Harmonix Small Stone
III) Analog Tremolo Boss TR-2
IV) Analog Delay Boss DM-2
- Convolution speaker (Impulse Response for cab files loader) added
- Convolution reverb (Impulse Response for reverb loader) added
- Mac standalone version added

Yeah, I'm really glad I bought it for $11 in last year's sale! :-)

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Awesome! Thanks a lot. Will the effect pedals be updated to 64bit, too?
