---I guess nobody's programming new sounds for rock or progressive musicians anymore. These demo sounds are really cool but like most of the soundbanks coming out for these ios apps I can't figure out how I'd use them and with the interfaces how I'd be able to play them.
I'd be happy with my Animoog making Emerson or Wakeman type sounds rather than fart noises or Wuba Wuba or whatever it is...

Really interesting point(s) @ Scott

As the original preset bank was quite 'out there' and nicely so, I've been trying with some success at getting not so out there sounds.
Love how it can sound quite moog-ish.

I agree completely. It's very frustrating to me, because I can hear the potential, but I can't seem to make it work for rock type stuff, either. If I'd had paid $29.00 for Animoog, I would've been very disappointed in the lack of bread and butter sounds (you know, bass, pad, leads...) Combine it with the weak integration with other apps, and Animoog is a lot of wasted potential, for me.

Getting much better results with iMS20, myself.

---LOL, I have never worn a cape and to my knowledge have never crushed a dwarf but I can't honestly say that the idea of either hasn't crossed my mind at one time or the other.
I realize that this whole synth from an iPad thing is still in its infantcy but I can still wish can't I? I mean Jordan Rudess invented and can play every app ever invented no matter how esoteric the layout but I'm not Jordan Rudess. I was amazed at being able to make strange sounds by just wiggling my fingers or moving the iPad up and down but that thrill wore off very quickly and I was left with almost 200 apps. that I paid as much for with the iPad as I could've gotten a Motif for that I could layer voices and sound like Pete townsend.
I've been told by a few app makers (all very nice I need to add) that memory constraints only allow for so much flexibility and I understand this. I guess for all of its neato wuba wuba sounds that my big fat Moog isn't going to happen but I can still wish...
Oh yeah I noticed tonight that for $34.99 I can sound like I didn't want to with my 3 operator FM synths...Yippee!!
p.s.- Jordan Rudess is one extremely talented and nice person, I wasn't making fun of him at all. He's very cool!

---I meant to add that I had a few conversations with the app sounds programmer today and whoever this is is very nice! I think we'll be hearing great things from this person or team and some of that will be things that some of us are really wanting to hear...
If we all write to these people and just explain what we're wanting or needing I think some or maybe all will respond in a positive way. With the exception of the Mellotron people who were very nice but didn't do a thing they suggested they were going to do and disavowed a project they are directly linked to (?) I've been very happy with my conversations with these people.
This summer we'll see Waldorf who is teaming up with Tempero Rubato (?) to bring us a Waldorf synth app....Great things ahead!!
