Midi Keyboards not working right

I dont know if anyone else has had this problem, but my M-AUDIO Keystation Mini 32 wont work properly. For example, it works when I set an instrument, but when I try and record, the notes are all jumbled together and skip during playback. I dont know if I have to configure it or what, but I just need to get it fixed. I am running through the free version to ensure that I want the program before spending the money. I just need to know if my Midi devices are going to work.

Can you please explain in more detail what exactly happens with the recorded notes. Eventually also post a screenshot. Or post a screencast of what you're doing.

Are you recording with quantisation set to something large, like quarter note? When recording, it's best to turn off quantisation entirely.

Right-click the record button or the record events button -> Event Recording Grid -> No Grid.BASSFOXX wrote:How exactly do you turn of Quantisation?pljones wrote:Are you recording with quantisation set to something large, like quarter note? Try the new version M4.1.17 (or later) and please feedback if things have improved.BASSFOXX wrote:For example, it works when I set an instrument, but when I try and record, the notes are all jumbled together and skip during playback.

Besides that, question: If you're on Windows, were you using the MME audio driver? If yes then note it's recommended to use the ASIO driver!
