I'm absolutely positive I have something that does this in my aresenal but for the life of me I can't think what.

Basically I just want an LFO (or similar) with random waveform assigned to Pitch that I can insert as an effect after a synth. The synth in question doesn't have a random LFO unfortunately, but the sound it creates cannot be recreated on anything else.

Well in max4Live you can add an LFO to modulate any parameter of a synth or effect if that helps
Cheers

I'm sure you'll find more than one suitable plugin at the delamancha site. He also has a sale these days, 70% off!

The problem with an external solution is that it affects all voices simultaneously which may not be what you want. Which synth is it or is that a secret ?

Yes this is an unwanted side effect, but I can't think of another solution.

Sugar Bytes Unique (ie, using the sequenced vowel filters to do a I I O A).
But then I want random pitch wackiness over the top.

Depending on how you bad you want it you could render multiple mono passes and sum it all to polyphonic glory.

Hmmmmm, my mind is running wild thinking about that.

Surely there would be phasing issues though

Of course there will be, that's the whole point! :D
Why else would you want to detune the voices against each other ?

Do note that by mono i mean monophonic, not mono as opposed to stereo IE one voice at a time.

Done and done.
