Big Tick People!

I have read the forum stuff on saving banks - but I have another problem which has recently started to happen:

I open Rhino as a VSTi in Tracktion and select a patch. I then record a sequence with this patch - ok. However, rewind Tracktion beginning to audition what I have recorded and as soone as the cursor reaches the midi data the Rhino patch jumps to the first patch in the list. I have tried this with several sound banks.

When I first used Rhino, this never happened - and doesn't happen if I replay parts I recorded a few weeks ago!

Any suggestions? I first noticed it after I had installed the latest sound banks - I think - although this seems to be unrelated!

I can of course get round this bproblem by loading the required patch into the first `slot' in the sound bank, but this is not ideal . .

Thanks in advance

If it were a `reset all controllers' problem wouldn't that apply to all Rhino's - for example:

I have 4 tracks in Tracktion, each with a Rhino synth. I recorded each of the four parts several weeks ago, and the reset to one problem never occurred; each plays back the selected preset. Hoever, when a couple of days ago I added a fifth track - again with a Rhino, the problem occurred - but only on that track!

Curious! :?

Make sure you use the "load bank" button (as opposed to the dropdown menu) to select your bank. It's an inconvenience of the 1.09 version that'll be fixed soon.

Using Tracktion 1.5.0.231, click on the track clip you just recorded. Now look at the bottom centre of the page in the midi clip window. Open the green 'insert' program change menu and select 'set the program for this entire clip'. The instrument chosen should stay put now. You could also use 'remove all program changes' from the same menu.

Yep, that works - as does `insert program change at cursor position (with the cursor at the start of the track).Yep, that works - as does `insert program change at cursor position (with the cursor at the start of the track).

But is still does not explain why this problem has only recently occurred, and tracks recorded a few weeks ago are not subject to this program change.

Thanks anyway . .
