I got this yesterday and played with it for hours. I tried it on drumloops and vocals. I tried it as an insert and a send. The things you can do with this seems endless. There are two fx I hear all the time in electronic music that I could never figure out how it was done. Now I know. There are two presets that recreate them exactly. You can take a single drumloop and use it through an entire song and it will never sound the same. It's incredible. I haven't got into the manual yet, so I probably don't know half of what it could do. I wish there was a Random function where it would just sync-cycle through all the presets. That would be joy. Anyway, if you want something for glitch/stutter/repeats/loop fattener/make lame loops interesting this is your plugin. Do AD a solid and go get it!

Right on. I's really a lazy-ass way off doing it, but whenever I can't be bothered with programming endless variations on a drum beat, I stick Replicant on there. Presto, instant magic!
Sequent by Loomer is even better, by the way, but also more involved. For that quick fix, Replicant rules.

I wasn't aware of Sequent, which looks quite interesting, but the exchange rate REALLY has to come down. $78.00 US.
I don't think it's lazy-ass. FWIW. Anything that helps me mangle things are always welcome.

I have a sequent and replicant and they both have their own unique ways.ariston wrote:

Well, I meant from the perspective of someone who does all of his edits by hand. I am incredibly grateful for these plugins, they make short work of something that would usually take forever.osiris wrote:I don't think it's lazy-ass. FWIW. Anything that helps me mangle things are always welcome.
Replicant and Automaton is a killer combo, as well, btw.

I also like Grossbeat, which I bought as a VST. But the manual is just okay and hooking it up is a b!tch. In fact, I've forgotten how to hook it up and I think the only explanation is a video, which I can't download or run over to the web computer to watch every time I want to use it.

oh, damn you all. I had my mind set on getting Dubstation. Now, with all the great suggestions, I don't know what to get!!
(might as well just start on it and work my way there)
