hi,
I'm using Alpha inside the vat~ object tin max map, which limits some of the external control options. Specifically, I can't switch banks (though I _can load presets ok). So what I need to do is to create a new bank containing the presets I want to use, and have that load as the default bank.
Presumably the quickest way to create a new bank would be to do it by dragging and dropping preset files into a new named folder (in the same location as the other bank folders) in the Finder?
But how do I which bank will autoload? I tried setting a different startup preset on the back panel (thinking that that might define the first bank folder to open) but it doesn't seem to do anything (at least in maxmsp).
Any ideas?
Thanks

Exactly. There are no tricks, just do them on Finder level and you can create a new bank.davidestevens wrote:hi,

The startup preset also defines which preset is loaded at startup (including which bank is set to default), thats not working at all ? The startup preset is not loaded instantly, but when you the next time load a new instance of Alpha. If you restore a project the host software determines what preset is loaded (and thus what bank is active).
