Dongle or no dongle, that's the question!

Just a simple poll not related to any products, I'm just wondering what percentage of users think one way or the other.

I hate dongles. They are a show stopper for me. This has been true for me going back to the 80's. I won't buy a product if it requires a dongle.
This space has been unintentionally left blank.

I think the question is more 'do you like the software enough to tolerate the dongle?'
In the case of Soundtoys and Slate Digital I broke down.

I actually prefer them. No joke.
At first I didn't like the idea, but then I realized it's plugged into the back of my computer all day out of sight. Even after I had an iLok die on me, I still don't mind them.
I won't deny myself awesome software like Cubase, VSL, or EWQLSO just because one or two of my USB slots will get used up.
I can understand why some might not like them, but not me. I'll take a dongle over limited challenge-response activations that make you contact support when you need more activations any day of the week.

I wish that the usb keys didn't (as their name implies) occupy vital USB ports.

I voted no but my minimal experience with a dongle was not bad. I think you may actually be at greater risk of unusable software with C/R.
I rather like the key file as used by Garritan's Aria Player, that would be my choice.

I'm just interested to see what the breakdown is, I know with anything there are pros and cons. I am expecting more 'nos' but am not knocking dongles per se, and this is really to help educate me. I have never had a dongled product yet, and juust don't want to deal with it personally.
