Hey guys

Just pass the information out.

Positive Grid and Alesis are currently having a JamUp Video Contest. Simply by submitting a video using JamUp, you instantly get $20 to upgrade for JamUp Pro and One Expansion Package, and the best video wins a Alesis iO Dock and $150 iTunes gift card. Contest ends on 6/15/12.

Participants must make an original video demonstrating how far you're willing to go to win this contest. There are only three rules. Your video must use JamUp app, Lite (Free) or Pro, any interface is fine, and 1-3 minutes of run time.

You can submit the video here: http://www.positivegrid.com/contest

I just entered. And who says guitarists should have all the fun?

UPDATE (5/25): Just in case anyone is curious, the contest is very legit: I already received my $20 gift certificate from Positive Grid. What a great idea for a contest (rewarding everyone who enters). I'm kind of shocked more companies don't do this, and it speaks very highly of Positive Grid that they took the leap of faith. I don't play guitar so Jam Up wasn't on my radar before (though folks here and at iDesignsound swear by it as being the best amp sim), but I bought the Pro version and obviously I'm very happy that I did! I guess you could say the experience has been overwhelmingly "Positive" :D

Yes, I agree. At least for me, it's the best ampsim, fx floor board, jam-along, sampler out there.

Every effect I've tried sounds absolutely great.
So far, the EQ pedal is one of the most powerful tools for tone. Each band is actually a KEY frequency for most "electric" guitar tones.
I find many of these amp tube apps have effects that must be tweaked just right to get a tasteful effect, but JamUp's effects seem tuned so that almost any setting will give a great and useable effect.

Kudos on the noise gate! It's one of the best responding gates on IOS and beats out most vst versions I've tried.

The contest sounds fun. Would love to hear all the enteries.

If I have 2 of the 4 bundles, would this $20 allow me to purchase the last two bundles?

Awesome, thanks for the kind words, it's been great pleasure working with artists and testers around the world, we believe all the fine details will be heard. :) Time well spent!

When on the 15th does it end? I have exams next week and have to study this week, so I won't be able to make a video till Friday, the 15th. Will I have time to enter?

Hi Calvin,

I can't seem to find the manual anywhere, but is there a way to import a dry audio file and then run it through the effects, and then export it back out to another app? I saw somewhere that you had Audiocopy/Audiopaste added to the app, but I don't see any mention of the ability to import a dry audiofile (without running it straight through the input and running the effects live).

Thanks,

Sean

Hi Sean.

There is the audio copy in the sampler module, that you can copy the recording and paste into other apps. We are working on something to support the reamp feature, it's just we have a long list :) please stay tuned! (I will bring this up and maybe we can create something for this purpose faster)
