soundtoys native effects bundle

The Sountoys native effects bundle is really good stuff, but if you're considering getting the whole bundle, be aware that the Speed V4 plugin is NOT included in the package, despite the fact that it's included twice on the promo page on the Soundtoys site. When I contacted Soundtoys to ask about it, I got a snippy reply that said: "Our site says: Speed is available for Pro Tools and Logic Pro Time Machine ONLY."
Well, yeah, it says that, but then why include it with the plugins that ARE part of the bundle? It's at least misleading, if not false advertising. I'm not dissing the plugins in the bundle - I'm getting the bundle because they're so useful to me. Just the little heads up, is all I'm saying.

It says "Speed V4 Audiosuite" right there on the page as part of the bundle, below where is also says "You also get Speed (Pro Tools only), "

Short of a flashing neon sign warning you it's OMG PRO TOOLS ONLY what more should they do?

Under specs it clearly states ProTools only which would not be native and I think this is perhaps where have got yourself upset. Certainly no mis advertising when read correctlyawjoe wrote:The Sountoys native effects bundle is really good stuff, but if you're considering getting the whole bundle, be aware that the Speed V4 plugin is NOT included in the package, despite the fact that it's included twice on the promo page on the Soundtoys site. If you're putting on this public display of your own inability to read and comprehend simple words and phrases as some kind of, "warning' to other users - no-one else seems to have had this problem in all the years SoundToys have been in business.awjoe wrote:Umm...remove the Speed plugin from the group of plugins advertised as the Native bundle?re_mute wrote:Short of a flashing neon sign warning you it's OMG PRO TOOLS ONLY what more should they do?
If, on the other hand, this is just you having a tantrum at them, then please, feel free to keep going.

I'm 100% with you. Pay no attention to the detractors. It is super misleading. The page clearly says, "Included Plug-ins" in bold white letters, but then in non bold gray letters says, "AudioSuite." I don't know what "AudioSuite" is, and why should? It's a made up term. I do know what "Included" means, because that's a word that you can find in the dictionary. Here's where it's misleading, when you click, buy now, it leads you to the bundle, not a page that gives you a choice to buy individual plugs or the bundle. It's confusing. When you think "bundle" you think it's a way to get the entire collection, and in this case it's not.awjoe wrote:The Sountoys native effects bundle is really good stuff, but if you're considering getting the whole bundle, be aware that the Speed V4 plugin is NOT included in the package, despite the fact that it's included twice on the promo page on the Soundtoys site. I think it's laziness though. They shouldn't mention the bundle at all on that page and just have a list of the native plugs you can buy. Then, in the store page have a clear listing of all the plugs and their prices and a bundle price that shows the included plugs in the bundle with a note that Speed isn't included. They're just trying to do it in one fell swoop, but the end is confusing and misleading.

Okay, body armor on...
http://www.soundtoys.com/product/SoundT ... e%20Effect
Look at the picture of the plugins at the top of the page. How many do you count? I count eight, including Speed.
Now scroll down a bit to the section that reads 'Included Products'. How many do you see? I see eight, including Speed.
Yet Speed isn't included in the bundle, and *that* part of the website is misleading. Possibly false advertising. If their web wrangler was smart, he/she would change it.
To reiterate: the bundle I bought from them is great, I'm glad I did - it's really useful, especially Echoboy. But the advertising is confusing, possibly dodgy.

I can't imagine why the person who created that page would include Speed in both sets of images. I can't imagine why people in this thread are taking issue with what I'm saying.zerocrossing wrote:I'm 100% with you. Pay no attention to the detractors. It is super misleading. When I click on the SoundToys Native Effects V4, the page bellow comes up.
http://www.soundtoys.com/product/SoundT ... %20Effects
And Speed is there, I had the same question and also contacted them last year, I was disappointed with this confused bundle display.

speed is included, you just cant use it cause you donat have protools. its still there, i use it all the time and it came with my bundle. its still 'native' just doesnt match your personal specs.. hardly soundtoys fault.

Says it works in Logic to but in a "limited" way - in what respect?

But that's *so* unfair! Soundtoys should be including a free copy of Pro Tools for everyone incapable of reading words and shit.rhythmtechnologies wrote:what are you on aboutawjoe wrote:
