Anyone Using Beatmaker 2 with an iPad Audio Interface like Tascam or Alesis ?

Does anyone here have any experience with using Beatmaker 2 to record external Audio (Synthesizers) through an Interface like that of Tascam or Alesis ?

I currently have BM2 in my live setup (among other devices) as a Loop Tool, I record the MIDI via iRig MIDI from my Microkorg and then it plays them back in loop.
However, the Mikrokorg being monotimbral, I was thinking it would be clever to record AUdioloops. I normally do so with a Kaoss Pad 3, but the Loops there are very short.

So...has anyone experience using Beatmaker 2 with an Alesis or Tascam Interface, how is the latency when recording Audio ? Any hickups, or does it work seamlessly ?
