Do the Reason equalizers let you boost less than VST ones?

Do the Reason equalizers let you boost less than VST ones? At least this is what I've always felt about the Reason EQs.
It seems that few developers make a Rack Extension version of their EQ, i'm excited.

Why wouldn't I when VST ones tend to be better for me?bduffy wrote:You're excited that few developers make a Rack Extension version of their EQ?

how much boosting do you want to do??, true the mclass eq is a bit limited but it has a very warm analog sound, even though its a bit dated. That said the EQ on the ssl mixer is a different kettle of fish altogether. The emulations are not far off from the ssl duende native versions and with the dynamics and s.chain gating its what reason should have had from the start. Having said that i cant keep from thinking about that softube Trident EQ ive seen floating about now and then!!!

I'd be excited if someone made an EQ for Reason that had a modern user interface. It's 2012, we don't turn knobs to adjust eq any more; we grab the handle and pull the curve about.

Is that what he's saying? I just have trouble making out what he's getting at. How can you be "excited" that people are "making few rack extension?" Why is this "exciting"? And he doesn't even know if they "boost less"...I dunno. a spectrum analyzer and stereo phase goniometer akin to inspector XL would go down a treat as well, straight underneath the big meter display...sorted

That's not hardware enough.ghettosynth wrote:I'd be excited if someone made an EQ for Reason that had a modern user interface. It's 2012, we don't turn knobs to adjust eq any more; we grab the handle and pull the curve about.

I like the emulations, a bit more character than surgical EQs but better to have both, agree that it is hard make critical EQ decisions in Reason without some kind of visual feedback, some form of analysis would make mixing a lot easierghettosynth wrote:I'd be excited if someone made an EQ for Reason that had a modern user interface. It seems that *that a* few developers make a Rack Extension version of their EQ, i'm excited.

Well, OPs reply to bduffy confused it even more...
I assumed it was just vicious schadenfreude

As in, happiness that those silly Reason users will be denied.
