Monophony contest expansion (remake with video)

As the voting is now done I thought that I would share this 'next step' in expanding my entry piece.
Not being too happy about the limitations of monophony, as in the contest rules, I felt that the piece was too much of a personal statement to be left ignored.
To that end I took out the additional unison instrumentation and replaced it with the Acoustic Baritone guitar playing a simple chord sequence and the Irish Bouzouki playing unison/harmonic melody lines.

Also, because of the personal aspect to this composition I made a video to support the tune. (still awaiting permissions for the clips)

beautiful! you could keep the feeling of loss and enhance it. the lament floats into a happy memory and so there is a balance that couldn't be found in the original version. i like the three moustache musketeers in the video and the calm atmosphere of the pictures. sometimes there is a conflict between the movements in the pictures and the movements in the music, which has a strange and interesting, quasi friendly disturbing effect.

Nice work James. I enjoyed this. Well played and a very pleasant tune. It reminded me of parts of Ommadawn, which, I think was Oldfield's best album.

Much improved, I think. In the contest version, I'd have preferred just the whistle, but with the new parts the other instruments work quite nicely. Well done.
