Idea for Albino (edit title)

Post

I posted an idea in that forum for Albino and it got DELETED.... :o

I only suggested to Port Albino to Reason Rack Extension (RE) in order to keep this monster synth alive for longer time since it seems that the PH are taking the task of keeping up with the future OS compatibility issues without rewrite the VST again, at least this is what I understand...

Well... the post disappeared.... (What an attitude... :( )

Is this "porting" to RE possible for Albino? I would be the first to pay for this kind of upgrade. Albino is just too indispensable and powerful to be abandoned when it could be maintained at least in the new Reason Paradigm and still produce a good cash flow from all those (including myself) Reason users ready to pour cash into the New World of VST (for them at least, I use other DAWs).
Beside the interface, PH claims that it could be done quite easily.

I got my Albino from LinPlug but since Rob mentioned on a video that he's ready to port Predator I thought to post there first, since he's working with the PH as of now.

Any comments? :help:

edit the title no to attack Rob Papen response... As suggested later on.

Between Linplug's very...relaxed attitude to updating and Papen's increasingly odd attitude about his precious presets I doubt it'll happen.

VERY ODD! He can keep his presets but release the hostage for God sake! :x
I'm beginning to understand where the VST name Predator comes from..... :hihi:

Dissing one developer in another dev's forum is pretty poor form. Since I'm not a mod in this forum, short of a ban (which I don't think would be appropriate) I can't stop you from doing so -- but starting a new thread to complain about a previous one being locked or deleted is contrary to the general forum rules.

Sorry then but I was not aware of that rule, but I posted here because LinPlug is a co-developer of Albino and it seemed OK to ask here as well for the same request. I'm not starting a new tread because of the Deleted Post. On the contrary, I'm looking to a possible solution with Albino.
I'm just disappointed with Rob attitude (hence the "over emphasis" on the title) to the Albino issue and a user inquiry.

I just felt unjustified to be delete without an explanation being also Rob customer of most of his products.

Is this wrong?

Don't know, not my company. Ask Rob maybe? Try a PM or email or whatever. There might be reasons for the deletion that neither you nor I would be aware of.

I will. Hope you (and LinPlug) see my good intentions here.

I'm neutral on the subject.

My advice - if you love Albino , Create a simple Google Site to praise its features and the TONS of presets available. Create Youtube videos and share sound examples..
The more online presence, the more Albino will be alive!

Albino will not be ported to any new plugin formats; however, we will support it for at least until end of May 2014.

End of story. Thank you for reply.

I love Albino, it's an affective synth and that's the bottom line, however as stated Albino is being supported until 2014, that's plenty of time for new synths that have a crossgrade price from Albino and some perhaps nods to it's past with patches and or gui that refelcts it.

My advice to RP and LinPlug in any case would be to measure the numbers of fans who support it, and consider how it could be reflected in future products. Albino 2 for example could be a completely different beast, I'm sure a good number of users wouldn't mind, and would in fact like more radical change, so how's that work?
