Which is the best bank for risers and effects that slide around the main lead/bass lines?
Your thoughts appreciated

+1 for Adam Baker. Also the one from 7Skies is excellent:

Money well spent.

Soundsets from Adam Szabo are very good and also a bit more progressive trance.
7skies is IMO more "typical stuff" often heard from many producers for TATW. He is bit the copy and paste guy and tries more to sound like others
Btw. both having also good soundsets for Sylenth.

if you're into dubstep or similar, you can check my Massive Dubstep on Audiority or, for more ambient and weird stuff, check out AudioThing Spheres

I wouldn't look at preset banks for this kind of thing, i'd be look at sample packs from the likes of Vengeance etc, they do FX packs with risers, sweeps etc. You can use them clean or mess them up yourself with various effects.
I always find it easier to work with audio for this kinda thing.

Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

Thank you ZioAxiom, 4damind, osiris, cyphersuit and LeVzi for your kind suggestions.
Wow - I'm knocked out by the quality of the recommendations you all made - better than what I found on a google search.
And the quality of the demo songs was better than I expected too.
I liked Audiority's dubstep because it was more alternative.
The Vengeance risers and fx are nice, but too pricey at 79 euros per set, even if Manuel Schleis is a significant talent.
I recently bought Dom Kane's Massive soundset which was good value at 15 quid - quite electro deadmau5ish, which is cool.

Generally I prefer to write my own loops and construction kits - and Massive is definitely my synth of preference - using it almost exclusively now, though I'm crap at programming it.
I'll listen to all the suggested dems again tomorrow with a fresh ear.
And if anyone else has suggestions for further listening - please suggest away.

search massive riser on youtube and you'll get some good tutorials for this (and many other things in massive..).kevvvvv wrote:_leras "just spend some time with noisey sources and link a macro to cutoff etc...."

If you get the noise and set up macros for opening cutoff, delay/reverb send, maybe distortion etc you can create some huge builds off of one key press and one macro dial....
You can do this in any synth - but - with massive because you can link a whole bunch of controls to the macro you can set it up just to control the entire sound for 1-2 controls that woulc/could take 7-8 controls on another synth.
