GrainDad (original name, the plugin somehow ended up as being called Uhbik-G) from the u-he Uhbik suite sounds swell, but it can get pretty cpu-intensive. Very userfriendly.

Discord 3 from Audio Damage is a good alternative with filtered delays, great when there's no need for precisely tuned effects. The "clean" mode can get slightly squelchy at certain settings - I tend to like the "vintage" or "granular" modes. You find a downloadable manual at the bottom of the Audio Damage page.

There are some free ones, but I haven't found anything as good as those two.

what? really? man now im confused, need to search through the manual for pitchshifting.

Post

Well basically loading a sample into Alchemy's granular engine, adjusting the grain settings and playing with the pitch without stretching it IS pitch shifting.

and one of the features of the amazing crusherX is also granular pitchshifting/reversing - total FX madness, very much recommended.

+1 Crusher-X. One hell of a granular monster!! I love it.

But it's not cheap and not in everyone's budget though :?

how is de la mancha pitchshifter?

Post

De la mancha uses the ck pitchshifter Synthedit module, you can get Xoxos's pitchshifter, the same thing for free. Not sure if it's what you want, but at least you don't have to pay for it.

Explore the user library, there are TONS of pitch manglers of all sorts in there.

As well as the user library, which can seem a bit overwhelming there is so much choice, Just check out some of the ensembles that come with Reaktor - Grainstates and Travelizer for example:

One of my favourite Reaktor pitchshifting granular delays is Lisa III:

With Reaktor in someone's arsenal, I personally don't think another pitchshifter is needed
