Two nice updates are coming out.
Intua will add Audio tracks to BeatMaker 2.
Music Studio will receive Background Audio compatibility and Virtual MIDI.
Both Apps are universal.
Awesome!

Nanostudio and Workstation DAW both have update announcements too.

I'm not familiar with Workstation DAW, is it an IOS app? Couldn't find it in the app store.audiojunkie wrote:Nanostudio and Workstation DAW both have update announcements too.

Sorry, my mistake. I meant to say MultiTrack DAW:audiob0t wrote:I'm not familiar with Workstation DAW, is it an IOS app? Couldn't find it in the app store.audiojunkie wrote:Nanostudio and Workstation DAW both have update announcements too.

ah ok thanks... I currently use nanostudio and garageband but have been thinking about picking up one of the DAWS (Multitrack, Studio.HD, Meteor) and wanted to make sure I wasn't missing an option
Auria sure looks nice, but who knows when it'll be released (or how much it wil cost)...

Supposedly, Meteor has just had an update that allows better functionality with Dropbox.

I know that the developer of MultiTrack DAW said that he was hoping to have audiobus implemented in this upcoming version, but didn't quite get it done. He confirmed 24bit/96khz capability though. So, at least we know that MultiTrack DAW will have Audiobus. It will just be one upgrade more until we get it.

NanoStudio and Music Studio are great in what they do but I find Meteor to be the closest thing to a DAW for iOS that I have found. The new update will prove to be quite fruitful I am sure.audiojunkie wrote:Supposedly, Meteor has just had an update that allows better functionality with Dropbox.

Not so sure that I may need the Auria 48 tracks for $50.00 but will probably buy it just because. What a sickness

I've been wanting to get Meteor, and all of the in-store add-ons, but I've run out of money for a while, and I'm not able to get anything. I think the next thing I'll be buying is the "Clean & Classic" pack for AmpKit.Keebo wrote:NanoStudio and Music Studio are great in what they do but I find Meteor to be the closest thing to a DAW for iOS that I have found. How do you feel about Meteor's in app synth/sampler/drum pad sound modules? Is there a way to record from apps that are outside of the program, for example, Animoog, Sunrizer, or BS-16i?

I've made a few tracks on Meteor and it's my favourite DAW style app by a long way. But I mostly import audio with copypaste (DM1, Sunrizer, Animoog all work well) rather than use the inbuilt sounds. I'd use them more if I sat at my keyboard to work, but I tend to do my music on the train.audiojunkie wrote:

No way to record directly from apps into Meteor but copypaste is good enough to transfer loops and the like, and dropbox also makes it easy to get sounds in. I think there was a thread once (about 6 months ago) where someone said they recorded apps with it, but it was on a jailbroken pad which probably removes the audio sandboxing.

Never heard of something like that. I don't believe that it's possible. I'm on a jailbroken device too and search a looooooog time for such a solution (something like Audiobus actually) and it just doesn't exist.
You can't (still) record audio from another app. With Meteor or whatever other App...
