When I first got a MacBook, I was amazed at how easily it connected with the 6Fire, with hardly any of the faffing around with drivers and latency bugs as my previous Windows setup.
I was wondering, with a camera connection kit, could I connect my DMX 6Fire to the iPad and use it to record audio via its XLR and jack inputs?
I've seen plenty of specially designed-for-iPad units allowing you to connect condenser mics and what not va the camera kit, but it would be sooo useful if I could just whack my 6Fire in there.
It seems no-one on the web has tried ths yet! Any thoughts? Does the sound card need to be CoreAudio enabled, etc?
DMX 6FIRE compatible with iPad?

One item that caught my eye was the ART USB Pre. I noticed a couple of YouTube vids showing its seamless compatibility with an iPad, even though the item is listed on most sites with no mention of its apparent iPad support.
I'm waiting for delivery of a camera kit as I type. Should be a few days, so I'm just curious to hear other folks' experience with connecting USB ASIO devices to their iPads.
