After the release of Audio Evolution Mobile and USB MIDI monitor for Android, my next app for musicians is called the Stage Assistant. Or well, if you have a better name, please let me know! :D

The Stage Assistant is a set list manager with a 'live' mode: on one hand, you can enter all your songs, set lists and performances, and in 'live' mode you can 'play back' a performance: in this mode, the song title, artist, the next song, settings for the current song (like patch/preset numbers, key, whatever), and notes are displayed. Besides that, if you have entered (or tapped) a tempo, this will show as a blinking bar as well!

Each line's text can be configured with a different font size.

Switching to the next song can either be done manually or by MIDI control changes. Note that the MIDI part requires Android 3.2 or higher, a device that supports USB host mode and a USB MIDI interface that doesn't require drivers under Windows. Basically, if it works with my free USB MIDI Monitor app, it will work with this one.

Currently, it runs best on tablets, but on phones it works too, although it still needs some adjustments for smaller screens.

Although it may still need some work, I'm looking for testers! Please drop me an email if you want to (info AT audio-evolution.com).

Kind regards,

Davy

What a cool idea. If I had a docking station on my guitar this would be perfect to control with fingers between strums.
