I have installed this update and it does not work!
I recommend you to backup your presets and previous version before trying the update!
Cheers!

According to the iTunes App Store instructions, delete the app and then reinstall it--this will resolve the problem. As with everything though, always make a backup before doing an update.

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Thanks for the info audiojunkie. Luckily I didn't have many custom presets.

The app store has a note that you should save your presets to your computer before updating and reinstall the app if it crashes.
Sounds like it will work if you take the precationary step of saving presets.

FYI:
There's a post by someone on the iTunes Animoog page that 1.1.0 crashes on the iPad 2 - and I can confirm that it just won't run on my iPad 2, so the advisory seems correct.
UPDATE! Actually, after deleting and attempting 2 re-installs, it finally launched. The only thing now is that it seems to be unable to import my saved presets...
...which now works after relaunching iTunes. But it won't import the zip archive, you have to import each preset individually or as a group. Me thinks they'll have to polish up the file management (new categories? clean up duplicates?) And the in-app purchase still offers me the Richard Devine soundset, despite the fact that I already own it I did a "Restore Purchases". Definitely not a clean update.
Sorry for the play by play...

I lost the Halloween sound set, which I'm kind of glad about because those sounds didn't really float my boat. In fact I thought they were mostly terrible! Anyway, everything else seems fine. Those worried about updating back-up first, delete Animoog then download again to get new version. New patch browser is very welcome addition. Plenty of other good stuff here as well. Bit disappointed MIDI-out is an in App upgrade but will probably get it as its only a few quid, I got Animoog for a dollar and to have it as a controller could be quite interesting I think. Good stuff from Moog as ever

Anyone tried midi out ? Using external gear, background apps ?
Oh wait, will just buy all extras given what I paid for it .
Let you know.
edit1:
Dam, you need to buy the extra's again for the iphone version, but then again I think I got it when it was on sale.
Btw, at first I didn't had to delete the iphone version, but the cat presets didn't show up, but a clean install fixed it.

I managed to reimport all my presets - I can see why some people are not seeing them. They all imported to a preset category represented by a . (dot) and nothing else, right at the top of the new categories list. And it's very hard to select. I fail to see the point of providing the ability to have category folders if they provide no means of organising presets into them - what is really needed is proper folder management then I can have a folder for each bank.

I also had the crashing... but worked fine after reinstalling.
The Devine presets were gone, and I couldn't get them back yesterday (using 'Restore Purchases'. Tried it again today, and I got them back.
Midi Out works fine!
(though not very nice of Moog to charge us for something like that)

I only tried it with my IO Dock. I wouldn't know why not - 'Network Session' is in the same list of outputs as 'Dock'aMUSEd wrote:Does the midi out work over wifi?
