Need Recommendation for Drum Plugin

Looking for an AU plugin to cover acoustic and electronic drum track creation, preferably with built in midi groove features. Am I better going with 2 separate programs like EZ Drummer and Geist or is there a solution which does both well? I know something like RMV has both samples and drum synth features but are the acoustic samples up to scratch when you get a "one stop shop"?
Thanks
David

Rob Papen - PUNCH (Synthesis, samples & sequencer) comes in my mind.

It`s not a bug... it`s a feature!

I use EZDrummer, Geist, Stylus RMX because they are all different and offer unique and useful sounds and features.dmacintyre wrote:Looking for an AU plugin to cover acoustic and electronic drum track creation, preferably with built in midi groove features. No one drum module will do it all, at least not for me..

Drumaxx may suit your needs - physical modeling that covers the realistic and electronic with a sequencer.

I use EZdrummer too - it was affordable and I added a few addons to it - They say Superior Drummer is better but EZ is fine for what I do - I actually use loops a lot too for simple practice sessions - both with Reaper on my Windows 7 box and Garageband on my Mac.
Now the proud owner of an avid 11 Rack, Running Pro Tools 10.3.3 - for me it's heaven!

Addictive Drums has great sounds and it has some kind of MIDI grooves but I never used that function much.

Picked up the Steven Slate deal which will cover my limited acoustic kit requirements and I'll try to find an electronic kit.
Thanks

SSD4 Essentials is $20 here:

And we'll soon be releasing electronic music expansion packs from some MAJOR producers.
SSD4 includes an internal groove sampler and groove library.
Cheers,
Steven

Already picked up the deal, as mentioned above. BTW, any chance you can update the GUI for retina displays? Looks terrible on my rMBP.

We're gonna work on the GUI this fall. I can't wait for you to hear some of the great expansion packs we're gonna be offering. Also gonna do a drum production video series. Thanks for checking out SSD!
Cheers,
Steven

are you on Logic? there are some great kits in Ultrabeat and you can also import samples into ExS24 and Ultrabeat.

I use Geist for my electronic drums (Ultrabeat would certainly do as well if you use Logic). I think it's great as a drum sequencer and sampler. While it doesn't have synthesis, you can just buy some really good quality analog drum samples or whatever you might need.
Stylus RMX is well worth a look at as well.
For realistic drums tho', my absolute number one is Toon Track's Superior Drummer. It's by far the best I've used imo. However, its quality is reflected by its price tag.
EZ Drummer would be another good option and it's more affordable.
