I want to learn how to make music like the group "Dancing Fantasy" "Blue Knights" Tangerine Dream"?

Ive purchased the Korg Legacy Digital Edition" "Nexus" "Camel Audio Alchemy""NI FM7 and FM8".

My workstation is FL Studio. One problem is that i cant seem to get this kind of drumming on that kind of daw.. All i can find are tutorials on how to make trance or rap in fl studio. Maybe i need another kind of daw or something....

Heres the music that i would like to make

Anyone that would like to help would be greatly appreciated!
I really like this kind of music and have always wanted to
make it!

I don't really want to tell you to use a different program, so either you'll need to find some good tutorials on using FL Studio (it can easily make this style music), or you'll need to punt and use something else.

I usually recommend Reaper to people getting started, mainly because it's accessible, inexpensive, and (IMO) easy to work with.

Reaper doesn't come with any drum machines, but you could use FL Studio to create a drum track, use it as a VST inside Reaper, use drum loops (see Smart Loops), or get a drum machine VST (get a copy of Computer Music magazine #182 online or in the stores).

Whatever program you use, you'll essentially want to create tracks, add instruments to the tracks (MIDI or audio loops), and just build from there.

I agree, the Daw is not the problem here, you can try to find some midi files or drums pattern for your style. Try a search for "midi file smooth jazz"

Getting a natural, human drum sound when programming with a mouse is not easy. Certainly not impossible, but difficult and time consuming. Better is to use a drum sample library + plugin like BFD from FXpansion:

BFD Eco is a cut down version, that might be all you need. Pre programmed MIDI loops can also help. Groove Monkee is a good source (not free):
