Alloy 2 Odd Meter Readings

I've owned Alloy for awhile, and have been a pretty happy customer. Being excited for the upgrade, I purchased the discounted Alloy 2. Now, I could be completely stupid and going down a huge rabbit hole for something sitting in the grass, but with Alloy 1, there was a mono and stereo plugin. Naturally, when working with close mic'd drums, I used the mono plugin. There is no mono plugin with the upgrade (which I assummed they had done some magic and implimented it to work as either), and I'm noticing incorrect output meter readings of 6 and 3 db higher in the plugin than in Cubase with mono tracks. I've searched the manual (with no answers) and have contacted Izotope, but they have yet to get back to me.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal and I'm doing something idioticly child-like to the extent that someone would be inclined to pat me on the head and go "aww... press the big blue button that says 'mono'?"
Just checking...

Still no response, but yeah, I'm pretty hopeful I'm just being dumb, otherwise this sets me back a bit.

I still haven't heard back. The auto-response from the company said something about Labor Day, so I'll post when I get word.

Labour Day, wasn't that the 1st of May?
Oh no, but close: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internatio ... ers%27_Day
McCarthy would have had done anything to evapourate that

I received a response, but not much of one.

and my reply:
Gladly, and thank you for the response.
For example; I have a close mic'd kick drum track. Mono recording, on a mono track in Cubase. I have the output signal on Alloy 2 peaking at -10 db. If I look at the output on the Cubase track's meter, it shows it peaking at -16 db. This is the same for the snare mic and all other mono tracks. To make sure this wasn't a display glitch, I exported the recording with the Alloy 2 plugin enabled, and indeed the resulting recording peaks at -16 db. In comparison, the overhead mics and room mics, which are stereo recordings on stereo tracks, are peaking at -10 db on the output meter of Alloy 2, and also peaking at -10 db on the cubase track's output meter.
So, in summation, on mono tracks, when using Alloy 2, I am getting incorrect meter readings. When using the mono plugin of Alloy 1, this is not an issue and the output of the plugin matches the output of the track.

Again, I could be doing something very novice and be completely wrong here, but I've checked everything I can think of three times over and get the same result every time. This is not normal, correct?

Unfortunately, I have the previous version and can't say. I like having mono versions, I use them all the time. Sounds like a stupid question but have you looked to see if others are complaining about this problem too?

That's sort of why I made this topic. Hoped others who have the new version could tell me if it's the plugin or something with Cubase. Either way, I'm out of ideas.

It sounds like a bug to me.
But just to check, make sure you're monitoring the master outs not the outs of one of the modules (make sure the Module Gain button is NOT lit), or make sure you're in the "Overview view."
What happens if Alloy is bypassed?
Last time I opened Alloy 2, I was notified that v2.01 was availble to download
Have you installed that yet?

I hope I'm not going to get into trouble, but "lightsfadelow" is a fantastic writer/composer who I believe works with cubase. I've linked this thread in hopes that he can chime in and give a help.
