I've been using Ableton 8 for about a year now... would love to get some feedback on the overall sound, production, mix, EQ, etc.
Thanks,
Andy

It's not bad actually. I does have a pretty cool vibe. Is the guitar a vst? It sounds a bit too artificial. Too much distortion too, it needs to a bit more defined to have more impact, especially in the faster bits. As I said, it's a pretty cool track though.

Thanks, yes I am using Line6 POD Farm. I had a really hard time getting a good cutting metal guitar sound. I used two amps panned mostly L/R. It just couldn't cut without huge EQ so I ended up running it through a HP overdrive effect, kind of like an exciter at very low wet/dry setting. It sounded cool on my monitors, kind of like a high-tech guitar sound which is what I was aiming for. That might have hurt the tone in the end. Others have panned the guitar sound too.
I'm looking at getting Guitar Rig, also I have heard the Metal Shop amp collection for Pod Farm might be a good add-on.
