Hi

I refretted a guitar some years ago but never bothered to get up the best finish on guitarneck below binding after that. It became a little satin on spots where sand paper happend to touch.

What is the process and what you need?

Thanks.

start over from the top. Strip it all down and start again because it will never be even. Or accept that the uneven finish is a sign of character and live with it.

would you like this moved to the diy forum?

Good idea, I didn't think of that.
Thanks.

okay, I sent a request to the mods and typically they are right on top of it. I'm one of the mods of the DIY forum but I have no powers outside of the DIY forum, I can move threads from the diy forum to another forum but in cases like this I can't move them to the diy forum.

I wish I could offer you advice on refinishing your guitar but painting and finishing is me weakness

I thought you were asking if one had to be high to get the high gloss finish on a guitar... :hihi:
