To upgrade or not to upgrade to IOS 6 - that is the question!

So, should I upgrade to IOS 6 or wait till the dust settles and the bugs clear?
I'm just afraid that half my apps won't work or there will be crashing problems after upgrading.
I already had a bunch of apps update for IOS 6 compatibility.
My gut feeling is to wait.
What is your gut feeling?
Mike

I'm jailbroken, so no choice but to wait.

The JavaScript speed improvements in Safari seem to help the wretched slowness of this website but I only just started using iOS 6. I might have to come back here and negate myself after I catch up on threads...

I would say from a purely music making perspective .....
Are you planning to use your iOS device live in the next 10 days?
If so then stick to iOS 5 for a week or so.
If not then sure fire away. You get the advantage of BG audio in GarageBand and apparently 200 "improvements " although I think I prefer the old maps....

I don't care about most of the 'changes', I only use my iPad to make music...

Why not just back to iTunes (always do that) then if it goes wonky > restore.

Just read this on the BBC News website: http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-19659736
Not looking too rosy for Apple with regards to the new Maps App.

I jumped in since I don't have anything essential on my iPad music-wise. Most everything seems to work. Mega-curtis bombs out whenever I start it but most my DAWs and synths seem unaffected.

I needed to update to iOS 6 to get the update to iMovie (not that I use iMovie all that much, but that red "1" on the AppStore icon would have driven me nuts), so I did and everything seems fine. Auria and PPG WaveGenerator work. That's all I had time to check as I was busy playing Lili last night.
