I've been listening to this and it sounds like the holy grail for industrial Music tones.

Does it need a Dongle or will the E-Dongle thing work? Also does anyone know if the Steinberg Dongle will conflict with a Ilok dongle on a OSX system?

Uses soft eLicenser
"I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms"
"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Also be aware it's only 32bit at the moment, although they have replied that it is due to be upgraded to 64bit - if that should matter.

It's a great synth though.

no problem with ilok and steinberg dongle both work great. ( osx 10.6 here)

and agree with largo,great soft.

So, can we expect 64bit version or not?

Post

From their support:
Waldorf wrote:We will release a native 64 Bit version of Largo later this year as a free update. At this moment I can't give you any detailled information because our developer has to finish another project first before he can start to porting the Largo code to 64 bit.

Still no 64 bit update?

Also I never managed to get this to install on my Mac.

What do I need to do to get it running? I get an authorization error, so I unpacked it and installed it using the built in installers. Only thing is it wont let me install e-licencer, because it says I already have it installed. Strange, because I don't recall ever installing it before.

This worked! Brilliant, now I am already making a track with the 31 Day Demo :D

wow I always sort of avoided this cause of the potential "Dongle" headache, but the e-licencer thing is pretty painless.

Also the CPU usage on largo is pretty damn good.. I can easily squeeze a ton of voices out of this!

I think I'm in love with a new synth... :help:

Nice to hear it worked. :)

Also nice to hear you like Largo. It is very powerful indeed.
I already made a commercial bank for both the Blofeld and PPG Wave 3.V so Largo will be one candidate for another one. I already started a while ago but got distracted by other synths.

Just curios if anyone is aware of any sale prices on Largo.

I think Waldorf made two sales (33-50% off)last year. Don't know if this will happen again in the near future.

Largo 32bit works very stable in my Cubase6.5 and 7.01, both 64bit. You can also transfer your e-license to a hardware dongle if you like.

I can very recommend the soundset "Drive" by Ayin Zahev. Fine for all kinds of electronic music.

Will probably purchase this soundset soon as it will work in my MicroQ as well:

This also looks/sounds very interesting:

The stock presets in Largo do not overwhelm me. Also the onboard reverb. And i miss the fm- and waveshaping filters from the Microwave2.

Yes, Ingo. Please make a soundbank for Largo.

Cheers,
Gerald
