Hi! This is my first post

I'm new to this so for my first project /experiment I would like to mix 2 songs.

I would like to replace the chorus of the original song with the remixed one.
I was wondering which software to use. I've had magix music maker but I will probably need something else.

It's prob. a kind of stupid/weird question but I'm just starting off :)

I used to do edits like this with two cassette decks (one playing, the other recording, press pause to switch tracks) 30 years ago. Even with Audacity (a very simple audio editor) you can pull that off.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Image

Thanks for the answer, but I don't want to just stop one and continue with the other one. I want to make a very smooth transition.
