So, simple question to the Wave-o-nites. Are these any good, anything special to note with them? Of course I'll demo them myself, but any additional insight my be useful to me and others:

Q10 EQ: $9.00
Supertap: $9.00
Mondomod: $9.00
Renaissance Axx: $9.00

... also, any reason to worry about WUP on these? They seem to have been around for ever, so, unlikely they'll change?

Cheers,

Dunno about the Mondo and Tap, never used them.

The Ren Axx is a nifty little tool that you can use in many other ways, not just for guitars. Every now and then, I throw it on my DI tracks in Insert slot #1, so I can tame their peaks before processing them further.
Personally, I could live without Ren Axx. Not because it's bad, more because I have so many alternatives.
But I do use it now and then, so $9 is better than just a "fair price".
If you think you could use it - get it.

The Q10... meh.
I had it with the Native Power Pack before I sold that. It's a nuisance, in a way. A good deal for $9, considering how it sounds, but other than that... I mean, it's not just "1 plugin" that shows up in your host, but it's 20!
1 Band mono
1 Band stereo
2 Band mono
2 Band stereo
3 Band mono
3 Band stereo
...
10 Band mono
10 Band stereo
You get it.

I never really used it much, because I always felt intimidated by the number of bands. Say I think I need a 3 band EQ and I insert a 3 band instance of Q10 ... but suddenly I need a 4th band. Bam, f*cked. Delete plugin, insert 4 band instance and start over. Or insert a 1 band instance after the 3 band instance and take up 2 Insert slots.

If you don't mind that - buy it, it's an okay EQ.
Personally, I'd steer clear. I don't miss it.

Wow nearly pulled the trigger on that, thanks for letting me know, I hate clutter, especially the way things are displayed in Studio One.

Here is a vid on MondoMod, looks cool to me, you can hear it at work at 3:45

I don't know, I think I've learned from experience that its the $10 plug-in here, the $20 plugin and the $30 plug-in there that make buying that plug-in/piece of gear you really want seem so difficult and expensive.

Look after the little plug-ins (don't buy them) and the big plug-ins/studio gear will look after themselves (oops, did I just buy that?)

Damn, EQ10 seems like a PITA! As for Mondomod, yup, saw that vid. Looks like an ok plugin, but personally I don't think I'll get that.

Supertap is still an excellent delay and well worth $9

Was thinking exactly the same.

I got all of those a few years ago with the Native PP too and the only one that I use anymore is Super Tap. So ya IMO it's easily worth $9. I doubt that any of those will see any updates so WUP shouldn't be a problem.

The Q10 is well worth the $9 IMO.
At the very least, you get some usable (or interesting) presets.
You also get:
-The ability to equalize the left and right channels independently within the same GUI.
-Good workflow (i.e., you can change multiple parameters like Gain, Freq and Q simultaneously).

The different versions (e.g., Q4, Q6) made more sense in the past in order to save DSP power. Using Native it makes sense to use the full Q10. Any band not being used will not use CPU resources.

We've got them for $7.65 each

Personally, I think the H-EQ at $79 is a better deal, given that you can look at it as being 7+ EQ's in one. The Eddie Kramer Signature Collection at $89 ($17.80 per plug-in) also seems cool and I personally thought hard about getting the Maserati Collection when it was $99, just to have something a little out of left (brain) field.

Does Supertap make any sense at all now that I just got PSP 608 multidelay ?

(no time to play with the demos at the moment)

Considering that it doesn't sync to the host tempo pretty much killed it in my book.

Thanks, guess its out of the question here also, unless there is something
very "special" it can do, that PSP 608 cant do, but I guess not,..

Q10 seems smart and usefull for certain things, but we are getting flooded
with EQ's these days, and Im afreaid this is just "another one" LOL

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Hat ;)

I'd buy the Axx...
Finally!
