Looks and sounds very good, but will we now see that with Audiobus being here Korg will eventually do the Kaoss Pad for iOS

From elephantcandy's site which also makes reference to the Kaoss Pad:

• Hook up any source or even use an other app with Audiobus

• Control multiple effects in realtime using the intuitive LiveFX touchpad

• Create your own LiveFX combinations and use up to four effects at once

• Use multi touch to create a auto dynamic effect

• Use one of the many preset-banks or save your own

• With Audiobus access those presets from within an other app

• Make your own effect combination from the countless possibilities

• Lock button holds the effect settings, for dazzling hands-free use

• Versatile and highly playable effects control, delivering unimaginable expression

• New Looper effects - Forward, Reverse and Slice - add new audio intensity

• Mix it up with new DJ emulation Vinyl Break and Ducking Compressor effects

• Auto BPM detection and Tap Tempo keeps your LiveFX locked to the beat

Twelve years ago, Korg introduced the Kaoss Pad. Now elephantcandy takes this a step further using the iPad and smart, ultra interactive software. This will create a whole new range of possible sounds and ways for the DJ/music scene to explore their creativity. An iPad with LiveFX has become an instrument with no limits.

This is very cool. I could only get it to work in Audiobus' output, not in the effect slot.

You will find more and more apps being dependent on iOS 6.
Time to update perhaps...? ;)

Never without a Jailbreak.

Anybody use this yet. Intrigued on live input use (like for a wind instrument for example). Curious if there any loopable modulation presets so I can just pick a cool effect and play my instrument (without needing to constantly tap and swipe to do things).

JavaJ - There are included preset banks which hold four presets each, allowing you to select between the four easily, it should work well!

Hi JavaJ,

I used it on an iPad 4 with Korg iPolysix - works & sounds great. It comes with a handful of presets, each with 4 variations, as Sunsine says :) I'm definitely glad I bought it - it has great multitouch controls & even sounds great with iPad mic input! Also, it's free to try, so u have nothing to lose!

Thanks to ElephantCandy (cool name btw) for making such a wonderful app! Highly recommended <3

It requires an app in the Output slot.

You can just select the iPad's external speaker in the output slot if you want.

Does it have anything that might be useful for standard vocals? Is there a way to do any voice doubling? Currently, I have the IK Multimedia vocal app, but I'm not impressed, it doesn't have audiobus, it takes up a huge amount of space, and I'm interested in something smaller, lighter, and possibly better.

How well would it work as an overall standard effects unit for general things too?

EDIT: Also, reviews in the app store are pretty harsh--are they justified or do you guys feel differently?

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)
